Music icon John Parr has thrown his full support behind his friend,Ben Moorhouse, ahead of his monumental challenge this coming Sunday.
With just days to go until Ben steps onto the ancient stone of The Ancient Stadium of Rhodes, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter—best known for his global number-one smash hit “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)”—has sent a powerful video message of support to motivate Ben and rally the public to donate.
A Powerful friendship for a Vital Cause
John Parr is proudly supporting his friend Ben as he prepares to face his next ultimate test of physical and mental endurance – all for love. 
On Sunday 19th July 2026, Ben will tackle 260 grueling lengths of the central track at the Ancient Stadium of Rhodes. Facing intense humidity and blistering summer temperatures exceeding 35–40°C in an environment some have described as “like an oven,” Ben will have absolutely no shade while walking the lengths.
This extreme challenge is deeply personal. Ben is turning grief into action to honour his beloved daughter Kallipateira Rodothea Moorhouse, who was tragically stillborn in 2018 at 37 weeks of pregnancy. 
Every single step and length is walked to raise vital funds for the Kallipateira Moorhouse Foundation, directly supporting Professor Alexander Heazell and his world-class team at the Maternal & Fetal Health Research Centre in Manchester. This is the very clinic that ensured the safe arrival of Ben and Gaynor’s rainbow baby, Apollon, in 2020.
