Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025 – Lighting the week with Love
From October 9th–15th, The Kallipateira Moorhouse Foundation once again proudly supported Baby Loss Awareness Week -a time to remember every precious baby who is forever loved.
Throughout the week, the community came together in unity, remembrance, and love.
- Wainhouse Tower stood proudly lit in pink and blue from October 13th–15th, supported by Calderdale Council, as a beacon of remembrance for all babies.
- On October 12th, Halifax Minster hosted a special Service of Remembrance for All Babies, bringing families together in reflection, comfort, and shared love.
Ben Moorhouse’s Baby Loss Awareness Week Challenge 2025
On October 11th, Foundation Trustee Ben Moorhouse took on his latest extreme fundraising challenge — walking Trooper Lane in Halifax 26 times ( 26 up and 26 down), before continuing on foot for 30 miles to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Manchester.
Ben completed the gruelling challenge in 13 hours, walking in memory of his daughter Kallipateira, baby Moorhouse, and every precious baby who has died. All funds raised will support Professor Alexander Heazell and the Maternal and Fetal Health Research Centre in Manchester, helping to save babies’ lives through vital research.
“So far, £860 has been raised, and I want to thank every single person who has donated and shown support,” said Ben. “Your kindness means so much -together we are making a real difference.”
A Week of Love, Light, and Remembrance
Baby Loss Awareness Week is a reminder to the world that our babies exist, that they are loved, and that their memory continues to shine. Seeing Wainhouse Tower glowing in pink and blue and the candles of the Wave of Light on October 15th reflected the love of families everywhere.
